Corey Sevier (North Shore) has been cast to play the lead in "Never Submit," one of the first movies to feature the burgeoning sport of mixed martial arts. "Never Submit" goes into production in Kansas City, MO, next month.

Sevier plays a Judo champion who enters an MMA tournament after being haunted by memories of his father, a one-time world champion MMA fighter, badly beaten in his last fight.

A former child star (Goosebumps), Sevier was nominated three times for a "Young Artists Award," presented by the Young Artist Foundation.

Also starring in the film are MMA star Ken Shamrock, playing the father, Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters) and MMA fighters Josh Koscheck, Michael McDonald, Mauricio Shogun Rua, Mike Swick and Nate Quarry.
