Rapper Wale has scored his first number-one album on the U.S. charts, landing the top spot on the Billboard 200 with his new album, "The Gifted."

The album sold 158,000 copies in its first week of sales, topping J. Cole's June 18 release "Born Sinner," which holds on to second place in its second week on the chart. Wale's last album, "Ambition" (2011) peaked at number-two and bested his new release by selling 6000 more copies.

Kanye West's masterpiece "Yeezus" falls two spots to number three.

Rounding out the top five are the unfortunately-named Christian rock band Skillet, who debut at number-four with "Rise"; while Daft Punk returns to the top five with "Random Access Memories."

Robin Thicke still tops the Hot 100 singles chart, with his "Blurred Lines" holding number-one for its fourth straight week. Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" is second, while Miley Cyrus's party anthem "We Can't Stop" finished third.
