Uwe Boll Sets New Horror Genre Standard With 'Seed,' On DVD Sept. 9
Boll is known for his movie adaptations of video games, such as Bloodrayne and Alone in the Dark. Seed will include a bonus PC video game, Advent Rising. The DVD release will also include the special featurette "Criticized," a twisted short about how a filmmaker gets back at his critics. Boll himself is famous for challenging his critics to a boxing match, which took place during the filming of Postal and Seed.
This fall, Boll will have audiences talking once again. During the opening credits of Seed, footage is seen of animal abuse and torture. Boll received this footage from PETA and he has pledged to donate 2.5 percent of the profits from the release to the charity. Boll is an animal lover and he is the proud owner of two dogs.
Seed recounts the supernatural story of a ruthless serial killer who survives electrocution on death row. Prison guards fail to exorcise the evil in a murderer and inadvertently unleash a malevolent monster. The resulting reign of violence, with its extreme gore and torture, set a new standard for the horror genre.
Special Features include:

-Short film "Criticized"
-Commentary by Director Uwe Boll
