Actor Tom Sizemore is to write a candid memoir about his struggles with drug addiction.
The Saving Private Ryan star rose to fame in movies including True Romance, Natural Born Killers and Heat in the 1990s.
However, he soon fell into cocaine and heroin addiction and at his lowest point was accused of domestic violence by Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss.
Now, Sizemore has signed a deal with Atria Books to detail his life story in a new tome, which will be published in 2013, reports Deadline.com.
In the book, the Black Hawk Down star will tell of his tough childhood in Detroit, and his rise to fame and subsequent relapse, which led to his appearance on TV show Celebrity Rehab.
He says, "I should have been dead many times over and honestly, I didn't know that I was going to come back from the bottom I dropped to. The fact that I'm now sober over two years - and that I'm acting as much as I did before - proves that people can overcome obstacles even when they're sure they can't."
"I hope that this book can inspire other people to never give up."
