Rapper T.I. and his wife have been released from jail following their Wednesday arrest on suspicion of drug possession.
The 29-year-old rapper and his wife, former Xscape singer Tameka Cottle, were taken into custody in West Hollywood after a sheriff's deputy allegedly smelled cannabis smoke coming from their vehicle during a traffic stop. Deputy Luis Castro tells the Associated Press the pair was released at approximately 4am local time on Thursday after posting $10,000 bail each.
The sheriff's department had not released details surrounding which specific drug the possession charge concerned as WENN went to press.
T.I., real name is Clifford Harris Jr., is still on probation after spending six months behind bars on gun charges. He was released from prison in December and is reportedly subject to drugs counseling and random testing as part of his probation.
