Breakthrough Connecticut-based band The Last Goodnight who release their debut album Poison Kiss (Virgin Records) on August 28th have announced plans to join American Idol's Elliot Yamin on his fall tour when they finish their current outing with Rocco DeLuca & The Burden. The 31-city cross-country stint begins October 5th in Chicago, IL at Park West and concludes November 26th in Washington DC at the 9:30 Club.

"We poured our hearts and souls into making this album and love being out on the road playing the songs live," said frontman Kurtis John. "Our live show is energetic and fun yet offers an intimate opportunity for us to connect directly with crowd."

Music fans will have plenty of opportunities to discover music from The Last Goodnight as the band is garnering early buzz with exposure through various outlets. The achingly beautiful lead single "Pictures of You" is currently climbing the pop charts and the video which premiered on Yahoo! Music is in rotation at Vh1 and Fuse. The Marc Klasfeld directed clip won the "battle of the video" competition on against videos from heavyweight artists Chamillionaire and Tegan & Sara. The single is also prominently featured in the show promos for ABC's hit series Brothers & Sisters, which airs nationally through September. The six-member band named one of Clear Channel's NEW! "Artist To Watch" and has been selected as Nokia's September featured artist. Poison Kiss will premiere in its entirety on's "The Leak" August 21st through the 27th and will be featured on MSN's "New This Week" and AOL's "About To Pop" section week of release.

Poison Kiss captures the vagaries of life and love through a kaleidoscope of rock, pop, jazz, folk and soul influences that coalesce in an exquisitely nuanced work that is, by turns, shimmering and shattering led by John's soulful, melodic vocals. The album was produced by A&R veteran Jeff Blue, who was instrumental in the development of Linkin Park, Macy Gray, Limp Bizkit and Korn.

The Last Goodnight is comprised of Kurtis John (lead vocals, piano), Michael Nadeau (lead guitar), Leif Christensen (bass), Anton Yurack (keyboards, harmonica, rhythm guitar), Skeeter (drums) and Ely Rise (keyboards).
