Kristen Wiig will do battle with Jennifer Lawrence at the annual MTV Movie Awards after Bridesmaids and The Hunger Games scored eight nominations apiece.
The actresses will compete for Best Female Performance at the prizegiving, alongside Rooney Mara, Emma Stone and Emma Watson.
The Hunger Games and Bridesmaids are both up for Movie of the Year, but will face stiff competition from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, The Help and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1.
Both films are also nominated in the Best Cast category and for the Best Breakthrough Performance, for Bridesmaids' Melissa McCarthy and The Hunger Games' Liam Hemsworth.
Meanwhile, in the Best Male Performance category, Channing Tatum (The Vow), Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (50/50), Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games) and Ryan Gosling (Drive) will all compete for the award.
Film fans can start voting on Tuesday, and the winners will be announced at the ceremony in Los Angeles on June 3rd.
