Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen recording group The Cab has announced details of their upcoming live schedule. The Las Vegas-based band – whose breakthrough debut album, Whisper War, arrived earlier this year – will spend September traveling the U.S. on their first-ever headline excursion. The "Why So Serious? Tour" kicks off on September 11th at San Antonio's Rock Bottom Tattoo Bar, and then continues through a September 28th show at Tucson, Arizona's The Rock. Joining The Cab on all dates will be This Providence, Hey Monday, and A Rocket To The Moon.

In October, The Cab will join forces with Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen labelmates Panic At The Disco on the hugely anticipated "Rock Band Live" concert tour. The trek – produced by MTV and AEG Live – celebrates MTV Games' musical video game phenomenon Rock Band and its upcoming follow-up, Rock Band 2. "Rock Band Live" will be co-headlined by Dashboard Confessional and also features support from Plain White T's. The itinerary begins on October 5th at the San Diego Sports Arena in San Diego, California, and then travels to arenas everywhere through mid-November.

Produced by Matt Squire (Cute Is What We Aim For, All Time Low) producing, with additional production by Patrick Stump (Fall Out Boy), "Whisper War" made a spectacular #1 debut on Billboard's "Top Heatseekers" chart of new artists upon its April release. The album, which includes the new single "I'll Run", will make its MTV video debut on this week's edition of FN MTV.

Signed to Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen on the recommendation of labelmates Panic At The Disco, the quintet has since drawn national attention for their fresh sound and vision, with Alternative Press declaring The Cab to be one of the "100 Bands You Need To Know" in its annual round-up. "The Cab's slick dance-rock sound has already scored a dedicated following," hailed "Blurring the line between post-Fall Out Boy emo and late '90s boy bands, the Cab's high-energy pop is radio-ready." The Las Vegas Review-Journal affirmed "The Cab's bright-eyed piano pop is so breathless"; while summed it up, decreeing the Cab to be "one of the artists that we think you'll be hearing big things from in the coming months."

The band has spent much of 2008 on the road, sharing stages with the likes of We The Kings, Forever The Sickest Kids, Metro Station, and fellow Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen recording groups Cobra Starship and The Hush Sound.
