Forget all you know or have heard in the past about rockers The Academy Is.... Consistently active, the band has come a long way since their debut Almost Here released in 2005. Fast forward three years later for their third album to date, Fast Times At Barrington High, the band has bounced back with a new sound and a new way of reinventing themselves.

Straying well away from the emo inspired beginnings of their first release, and follow up Santi in 2007, the band's new direction finds them going for the bright, playful, and youthful sounds of Power Pop at it's best. Perhaps their most tuneful album to date, Fast Times At Barrington High delivers new material paced with clever lyrics, catchy hooks and sing along choruses. The band's lead vocalist, William Beckett, also pushes his vocal phrasings to new heights. Serving them well the album radiates, and there's not a single brooding moment to be found here. Fast Times At Barrington High, as the title of the new release suggests, can surely be the back drop soundtrack of any high school drama. Check out the latest single introduced off album "Summer Hair = Forever Young", and the debut track "About A Girl" first released in support of the band's current release.
