Director Zack Snyder's (300, Watchmen) upcoming reboot of the Superman franchise, Man of Steel, now has a trailer!
The clip premiered before The Dark Knight Rises on Thursday night and is merely a primer for next summer's sure-to-be blockbuster - but we do get a glimpse of Superman (Henry Cavill) rocketing through the sky faster than a speeding bullet.
Superman's Earth-father Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), provides the voiceover for the trailer, telling his adopted son how important he'll be when he grows up; much like Uncle Ben's 'With great power comes great responsibility' speech to Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) in the first Spider-Man movie.
Images of a young boy playing while wearing a red cape and an older Clark on what appears to be a crab fishing boat a la Deadliest Catch are the focus of the minute-and-a-half teaser, but we do get a quick glimpse of the Man of Steel in flight at the end.
The film also stars Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Russell Crowe and Julia Ormond as Superman's Kryptonian parents Jor-El and Lara, Laurence Fishburne as Daily Planet editor Perry White, and Michael Shannon as baddie General Zod.
Dark Knight trilogy director Christopher Nolan is the film's producer, so it's gotta be good!
