Why doesn't Devendra Banhart have to apologize? It was his video. Why are the Hindu's so offended they need an apology. I am a Christian and I know there are a few Christian actors and actresses in Hollywood but we have not demanded an apology for the offesive things regarding our beliefs. It is a free country and everyone has a right to do what they want even when it is wrong and offensive. If Natalie has to apologize then so should Devendra.

It would seem that someone with limited knowledge of the Hindu culture should not be viewed as the real culprit here. Davendra was raised in this way and should have known better if there was a chance it would illicit this type of response from the Hindu community. I would also like to know what exactly offended them in this video? Just because they paid homage to Indian film-making doesn't necessarily mean they degraded the Hindu religion.
