I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Paul Newman...he was an incredible actor and judging from all the articles about him he was an incredible man..my thoughts and prayers are with Joanne Woodward and his children who have lost a husband, father and grandfather..and his favorite charities plus the college he graduated from in Ohio..what a great loss...

My sincere condolances to Paul's wife and family. He was a great actor and all indications show - a great man. You must be very proud of him. God bless you all.

He was the best ever! I'd written a script with him in mind, got it to his wife, but she told me that he was not going to work anymore. I am so saddened that I wrote it too late to get to work with the best actor, and the one that all audiences have loved for decades. He should have won around 5 Oscars from his nominations. When he finally won one, he had stopped going to the Awards shows, sick of being passed over. When he won, it was accepted by William Wise, a brilliant director (he edited Citizen Cane) who took the award and tried to speak on Newman's behalf, but the presenter was Bette Davis, who stated to Wise, "Let's talk about YOUR career" while onstage - ignoring Paul Newman, on behalf of the Academy, who had to drag her offstage.
