Did you forget about the Bruce Willis movie Die Hard with a Vengeance with the hard - boiled New York Police Lieutenant John McClane as the main character trying to solve puzzles by a guy named "Simon" who seeks to dynamite a school full of children and steal gold bullion held at the U. S. Federal Bank if McClane doesn't solve these incredulous puzzles? Also, here is a list of more movies which I think would make this poll: The Out - Of - Towners with Jack Lemmon and Sandy Dennis; Dog Day Afternoon with Al Pacino; The French Connection with Gene Hackman; Goodfellows with Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci; The Nanny Diaries with Scarlett Johannson and Alicia Keys; Cadillac Man with Robin Williams as Joey O' Brien; the 1949 musical with Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra and Ann Miller called On The Town. I would like add to this list A Scent of A Woman with Al Pacino, Chris O'Donnell, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Gabriella Anwar and, if you consider "New New York" in the movie The Fifth Element with Milla Jovanavich and Bruce Willis, then this movie would be part of this group as well. I also have to add another Al Pacino vehicle "Serpico;" the Robert De Niro and Chazz Palmentieri vehicle A Bronx Tale; The Seven - Ups; The Taking of Pellum One - Two - Three; and, if you want to include the scene where James Franciscus and Charlton Heston venture on the beach and find the ruins of The Statue of Liberty and the top of the Empire State building in the movie The Planet of The Apes.

"Don't give me the high hat, Louie" It is amazing to me how many people do not know that is from "Millers Crossing" a great "New York" movie or what about "Bronx Tale" another one.
