You've got to be joking! Run-D.M.C. in the rock-n-roll hall of fame? Give me a break. What are these guys currently doing? Working in a car wash?, touring as an " oldies " group? What did these guys contribute to rock-n-roll really? How long where they able to sustain their career? Who wouldn't be ( still ) in the business right now if it weren't for being so inspired by them that they knew that's what they wanted to do with their life as soon as they heard Run-D.M.C.? Besides, how can they really, truly be considered ROCK-N-ROLL? Not by any rock-n-roller that's for sure. When you can't play an instrument, and you can't sing ( which is 90% of why rappers become rappers, they have no other talent), how can they be called rock-n-roll. Aside from " Walk This Way " which Aerosmith contributed to during their "lost" years on drugs ( and probably only did so only for the money, and surely wouldn't have done it after becoming sober ), what else did they give us that was Hall of Fame worthy?

there legendary n hip hop music not the "hood" stop stereotyping. Neways Run DMC is influential and there music has inspired many artists but i don't think they should be considered in the rock n roll hall of fame.

Fair enough, carmal delight. I will give you that one. But if your argument is that Run DMC is legendary and influential, how come a very legendary and, quite possibly, influential progressive rock band from Canada RUSH, with their more than thirty years of making music that makes me and millions of other RUSH fans happy and who happens to have twenty - three consecutive gold or platinum albums and are all members of the Order of Canada of which all were awarded the Medal of Honor for meritorious service as citizens of Canada and lifelong achievement as Canadian musicians, have never even been given a "thank you" for their life long achievement in music from the administrators of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland? The Hall people are very hypocritical and, if I were you, I would never patronize that place. It is very political and the administrators only agree to WHOM they want enshrined in the Hall. RUSH themselves are too busy making music and touring for their fans to worry about such minor details as why they weren't nominated.
