Most actors do not make a hit with every movie they do. Myself I am very fond of Nicolas Cage. Not so fond of some of his movies. But the good outway the bad ones. He is so intense on screen I feel that is what seperates him from some of the others. I love Al Pacino but Cage comes off as being on the edge just the way I like it. Give him cudos for the good work and let it be.

Mr. C. Warner Sills don't quit your day job...because your under rated review of Nick Cage is what is REALLY under rated. He has had a great career, and will continue to make movies that people want to see. Are you that out of touch to think if he was that bad that he could make THAT many movies and people STILL pay to see him. It is his style and charisma that keep him making movies and if you do not like him...too bad A LOT of people do....Your a much worse writer than he is actor by a mile. You can only hope to become half as good a writer as he is actor. Some of his movies are better than others, but look at every actor in Hollywood has made a movie or two that did not do so well. Will Smith is the top box office actor right now and I thought I am Legend was a flop...so there you have it your opinion is just that...so everyone reading this obviously does not agree with you. I certainly hope you do not get paid to write terrible things about people like this.

Nick Cage is incredible in the right movies! The ambience he brought to the wickerman was incredible and his devotion to the role in national treasure was great. His other films wasn't that great because I feel the character he was supposed to portray didn't come out of the movie, we always see nick cage and not a new character. Something that Samuel L. Jackson does very well.

Nicolas Cage led the North American box office to its worst weekend in five years on Sunday with one of his weakest.
"Bangkok Dangerous," a thriller in which the 44-year-old actor plays a jaded assassin, opened at No. 1 with estimated three-day earnings of just $7.8 million.
Cage has actually done a lot worse at the box office: His terrorism thriller "Next" opened to $7.1 million in April 2007 and the family drama "The Weather Man" to $4.2 million in 2005.
But he was last in theaters with the biggest movie of his career, "National Treasure: Book of Secrets," The action sequel opened to $45 million in December on its way to $220 million.

Let's hope he donates some of those millions....I like it when he accepts scripts, that are "On the edge" a little, like
8MM - That was a good movie about snuff films...don't know how much it grossed....that part is just whether or not the movie is a financial hit or not.
Thanks Biker Chick for the FACTUAL information....
His phase of good movies seems to be coming to an end...
I doubt anyone will want to see National Treasure Part 5 or 6 if they try to push it.

Nicolas Cage was and can be a very good actor. I think its the choice of movie roles or his lack of caring about them.
Leaving Las Vegas was a great movie,as was Raising Arizona. He was sexy and sweet in Valley Girl. But then I saw the Wicker Man...my God, I will never get that time back! What a time waster!(although Weather Man was very good!)
I wonder if he has forgotten what made him good in the first place and now doesnt care what he plays - I would hate to think that he is like that. Bangkok Dangerous doesnt even look appealing and I like action movies. (and what is the deal with the hair? horrible)
I hope he gets back to better roles, but until he does, Im staying at home...
