DUDE! You are basing what might happen in real life on fiction. Get over it! I personally think that it is awesome that a black man is running for President and that a woman was nominated to run as VP. It sounds like you are nothing but a black-hating, male chauvanistic pig!

Marlen7905- I think you missed the whole point of the article. This is what Hollywood has portrayed...I don't see why you think the article is racist and sexist?

I think that it was a little racist because everything about this man running for president was pretty much saying no way no how. I underdstand that you are sayin that this was hollywood but you could have ended that on a much positive note. You left the woman on a little bit more positive note than Obamas. And yes I am a woman and do beleive that a woman could be president but be fair about the whole thing. If so =me idiot was reading this they may just go for what you just said and vote because of these stupids reasons that you and hollywood has put out there. Get a life and look at the real issues at hand. And if you don't vote then you have no voice and no voice means no complaining. SO GET OUT THERE AND VOTE COME NOVEMBER!

I actually like Robin Williams' take on the woman president thing... from a standup he did in the mid-80s, he said, "with a woman president there would never be any wars. They'd just make you feel real bad. And every 28 days there would be some intense negotiations.

It is time for change, I would love to see Barack Obama become president of The United States, and a woman VP, why not? George Bush has had his day.

The writer forgot "the Man", a later "70's" movie starring James Earl JOnes as the first black US president. It was based on a Irving Wallace nvel (which was better than the film). In the movie,a black man accidently becomes President, deals with racist politicians and family troubles, but finished triumphant. This movie shoyld have included in the discusssion on the fates of fictional black presidents. I don't think the article writer was displaying racist attitudes toward Obama or anyone else.

Great article! Nice job of informing the readers of movies that cast blacks in roles as President and females as Pres or VP. The smart readers got the writers message. Obama is definitely not qualified to be President or fill any executive position...very, very inexperienced...gets advice from the likes of the Jeremiah Wright's and other ignorant cronies...Obama supporters are naive as they are taken in by his eloquent, yet shallow speeches. Marlen7905 is an idiot. Vote for McCain - Palin.

Wow! Where to start. Hey Elephant, how is Marlen an idiot? Her post makes you sound like a mind numbed robot of Rush Limbaugh fame. Are you really against a womens right to be free of government intrusion into her personal affairs? Do you believe in creationism? Are you against stem cell research and the teaching of effective methods of birth control in schools? Do you want to continue a misbegotten war which is killing our children for nothing? Do you not want tax breaks for the middle class? Try to say something intelligent instead of moronic.

Really to MarkS...another dumb blind dude who knows it all as he listens to the hollow words not the deeds of Obama - who has never held a position of responsibility and snuffed cocaine in the youth...read his book moron, if you can comprehend Obama's Islamic world. You MarkS are a baby killer, a non-believer in God's eyes, and a waver of white flags when the going gets tough...must be a mamas-boy. Surrender first policy, yea coward...you don't see Al Queda/Taliban giving-up? Bush has already given tax breaks to the middle class and stimulus checks. We have it better now than in any time in the history of the world...best health care and opportunities for all who strive to attain success. Mark if you are under 18, you need to mature, if you are over 18...you are a naive idiot like Marlen 7905. Obama is a fake...and never fully answers questions or provides a plan of action...cuz he does not have one. Vote McCain-Palin (first woman VP) and be on the winning side...because, the X@@##! you save may be your own. Win the war, attain the desired peace. The Elephant Party.

Dear Sheekdabeast, if you think Obama is what the world needs from your perspective in Ghana, then go ahead and extend him an invitation to come to your country and be your president. If you don't live in America, then you have no idea what America needs.

Dear Sheekdabeast, let me give you a history lesson. "The White House" is named that because it's PAINTED WHITE! It has nothing to do with the color of the presidents! (Duh!) I'd be interested in knowing about the educational system in Ghana. Do they teach you how to read and write correctly?

Hey Elephant! Way not to answer in an intelligent manner. All ad hominum attacks! I guess I hit a nerve! I'm well over 18, a marine veteran of the vietnam war. Perhaps in your infinite wisdom you would explain just what will indicate we have "won" this fools war. We started correctly and then took an illegal, immoral, foolish detour that apparently makes the true cowards like you feel safe by feeding our kids lives into it.As to my being a non-believer, what the hell does that have to do with anything other than to a brainwashed idiot like yourself?

First of all I think that we should all take a look at the issues. None of the candidates have ever been president so they have no real clue of the responsibility. Second which ever candidate is elected the agenda is already written so it does not matter what they say. Third a response to the black president and the woman VP. The black president would be cool if he were able to implement his agenda but he can't. Specifics about this woman VP, she would be cool but where is she getting off by starting her campaign off running on her pregnant 17 years daughters mishaps. She should be trying to send a strong message to other teenage girls that permicuous sex is not to be tolerated; and while parents should not turn their backs on their daughters and young girls should not hide the fact that they are pregnant. They need to be aware of what they are doing and the responsibility that comes with having sex. Me personally as a 16 year old female, I am appauled at Sarah Palin that she would try to pass this off as not a problem. In the school that I attend there are a lot of teen girls that are pregnant. Those girls more than likely will be taking care of those babies by themselves and the tax payers will have to foot the bill. Be careful Sarah young teenage girls are very influential. We do not need a VP that is not thinking we need a VP that is morally sound and aware of the problems we as young women face in the United States. Stop the show this is not hollywood.

It's so strange that currently, a black person is running for, and has a huge chance of becoming our next President of the whole United States and the most powerful man in the World in the process; but, that things such as Robert F. Kennedy JR. is stating in the following statement from a September 8, 2008 Democracy Now interview are still occurring: "...ROBERT F. KENNEDY, JR.: Well, the Republican Party has put in place a system for suppressing the Democratic vote, particularly African American voters, Hispanic voters and American Indian voters. And there's fifty different tricks that are using-of legal mechanisms that now make it very, very difficult for those groups to register, then to vote, and third, to get their votes counted. And they're complex, very sinister, cunning and clever mechanisms that most Americans, almost-most Americans, including most elected officials, don't even know about. But in the end, they're going to end up disenfranchising about three million voters, mainly African American, Hispanic, American Indian, senior citizens and elderly, the hard core of the Democratic Party. And so, we've done-myself and Greg Palast-I've done an analysis, an easy-to-read analysis, which will be published in Rolling Stone, I think in the September 12th issue. I've got to go..."
