alright, i'm 14 and a HUGE fan of beverly hills 90210, original one. i DVR it on soap net and so far havent missed an episode. i thought 90210 would be good or maybe even as great as the original, unfortunately my expectations were too high. 90210 lacked mainly humor and talent. the acting was okkay for some of the characters, but it was hard to take some of them seriously due to how old they look. i could tell the moment i saw naomi and the teacher and annie's love interest that they werent the actual age they were playing. i mean naomi looked AT THE MOST 19, the teacher looked at least late 20's when he was obviously playing 30, and as for annies love interest, please he could pass for 19-24. i wasnt impressed with this show, but i'll give next weeks episode another shot. but if i had to compare this to the original beverly hills, there'd be no comparison.

@gtchev: I agree, it was seriously lacking. I might give it a couple of more weeks, too.

I wish, they would stop remaking old shows. What the hell. Enough already! Can't anything be sacred anymore on tv? What happened to originality? The days of great dramas by Aaron Spelling, Steven Bochco, Michael Mann. Does anyone know how to put pen to paper to write a good tv script from scratch anymore?

@lizzieFizzie33: I tend to agree there was no need for this show. We will see.

Pretty predictable and all over the place. I did like some of the writing--did you catch when the teacher turned off Hannah Zuckermann-Vazquez's news cast? "What is that girl, like 30?" I watched out of curiosity, but there really wasn't anything there to hook me, though. Loved Tata fighting with the espresso machine, and c'mon don't pretend like Nat and Brandon don't still talk everyday! "How's Brandon?" "Everytime he thinks of you he wants a megaburger." ???? Right...

@sinbad: yes, that one line was clever. I do think it is funny that when an actor does not return for a reunion or a new show the charater is always overseas in some exotic local. There was no way Brandon "says hello, but he had to get back to working the night shift at the plant in Broken Bow, Nebraska.

Unfortunately, I don't think the new 90210 compares to the original. I haven't been impressed with the writing or the new characters, and the only reason I continue to watch the show is to watch the original characters.

Dude, so let me get this straight. As part of your job you had to actually watch this crappy T.V. show? Wow. you need a union or something at your job. Tell them that you are not their slave labor ... Tell them that YOU are a human being
