Well, I don't know how Martin Luther King would feel about Iraq, but I do know he would be more gracious to President Bush than Mike Stipe. Bitterness is so sad and ugly...I don't agree with all of Bush's policies, but I think all people would be honored on some level by Martin Luther King.
Thanks, 'river'

Is this a repeat story, because we already knew that Michael Stipe is gay.

Do you know what, I know exactly how he feels. George W Bush always looks as if he should be in a cartoon series.

O'kay. It is fairly obvious that there is much derision, animosity and angst lobbed at the current administration for many actions that it has engendered. Fair enough. But has anyone here reviewed the actions of other administrations(and I am referring to both the Democratic AND Republican administrations)? I am just curious. Yes, the Bush administration hasn't been what it should have been, but there is no need to be a jerk when expressing one's angst towards it. Yeah, it is not the most honorably run administrations, but there are more civil ways one could express one's displeasure and consternation towards an administration one finds most vial.

For a guy that has made an extremely good living over the last 25 years, is free to say what he wishes, and is free to pretty much do anything he wants... you sound like a spoiled schmuck.
How disingenuous is it to threaten to leave the U.S. when those people you claim to care about don’t really have that option? How about fighting for something you believe in, rather than running away?
I will make you an offer Mr. Stipe. If you sign a letter promising the people of the U.S. you won’t come back, I’ll personally buy you a One-Way First Class ticket anywhere on the planet.
That is a promise and I am not being disingenuous.
