Oh I really wish her well, poor girl. What a brave thing to do, and it's probably saved her life. Reconstructive surgery is so good nowadays, so good luck with that Christina.

Well I am hoping Christina is able to read this. I can fully imagine what this wonderful funny talented beautiful woman is going through.I was diagnoised with BRCR 4 years ago. I have had 7 tumor removal from both breasts before being told I had the gene. So I do understand the way she feels. Frustrated, angry, confused, the why me syndrome. I am now faced with the same decision, because they found a lump. This was is entirely different than the others, why i am scared. I have touyed with the idea of having a double bi-lateral masectomy for the last 3 months. But the obsticals are major that stand in the way. I have no insurance and because recently I have had to appy for SSI due to a disabilty where I cannot do what i used to do. Matter of fact I have not bene able to do anything. I would love to talk with her, to give me some of that courage she had when she had the surgery. I just can't wrap my head around the surgery. I think she is very couragous and amazing to have the positive outlook! I wish her all the happiness she deserves.

BRAVO for you Christina. If you have the gene then no amount of therapy will help. How very brave you are, I was young too when I had cervical cancer and they waited and waited until I had to have it all removed. Cervics, uterus, ovaries , all because they waited. Chemo is not a good feeling at all or the burn of radiation. Take care sweetie
