I loved the Cops parody, Scully hated the camera, and that was awesome. Probably the best episode that season. The Jack Black episode was definitely high on my list. Shia LaBeof aside, what happened to the Flukeworm episode though? There are so many on the list, who would have thought that watching the first episode, that this show would have become that big. It could have flopped. It didn't. That surprised all the critics I'm sure.

Home was great, although my memory seems to reserve a spot for "Drive" with Bryan Cranston. The opening news cast when it first aired looked realistic (including the head explosion right before the opening roll), and although some of the plot points seemed to be pulled from "Speed," i loved the episode.

As far as best or worst episodes and such are concerned--it's clearly all up to the individual anyway.
But if this really is written in a way that is supposed to refresh the memory of die hard fans of the show--then the only thing I will take issue with is Diane Fowley being named worst secondary character.
I never found her particularly interesting either but she did play a significant role in the episodes in which she appeared.
The fact that she ran The X-Files with Spender for a time--and the fact that she helps save Mulders life in sacrifice for her own in 'amor fati' make at least some of her contributions to the show note worthy.
Also, for all those shippers out there--Scullys blatant jealousy and dislike of Fowley was considered a sure sign of things to come.

You completely left out Milagro. What I believe is one of the best guest appearances. The episode delves deep into the Scully and Mulder relationship. It is supremely well-written. It is the most literary and cerebral of all the x files episodes. Not for the weekly viewer, this episode actually gave the true x files fan something challenging and brilliant.
