OK, before this he's rarely in the news at ALL, and JUST as the biggest movie of his life starts to showe true success, this just HAPPENS to pop up.
I'm sorry, but this is complete and utter BS. I don't believe he did anything wrong. This is just something for the paparazzi to use against him. I stand by my opinion.

This doesn't have anything to do with paparazzi. His family accused him of something he may or may not have done. It didn't just "happen" to pop up. There are hundreds of scenarios that could have put him this position. Just because he hasn't made the news before doesn't make him innocent - or guilty.

Rumor on the street is that he's been estranged from his family, and they showed up uninvited at his hotel the night before his premiere. Either to suck up to him or get money or whatever the reason, he's the only one who has really made it big and they're all in show biz.
And apparently the charge is VERBAL ASSAULT not physical. Which means he screamed at them to the point of feeling scared or threatened. But seriously, I'm on Bale's side from everything I've heard.

@ BikerChick: I understand what you're saying. I guess I'm just one of those people that are extremely biased in a certain way. (in this case, in Bale's favor) It's hard for me to fathom him doing anything to this degree. And you know, people just have to realize that he's human like everyone else, and therefore might make a mistake every once in a while. I just don't see why everything (particularly after several different reports that I've read about the scenario) must be so blown out of proportion.
@ Dee Doyle: Yes, that's what I've heard as well. And thanks for not totally going into assumptions and judging him, unlike some other people that I've seen.

According to some reports I've read, it's his mother and sister that have issues like that, NOT Christian. Sure, Christian makes trips to pubs, but he doesn't overdo it.
And as for your other post, Christian Bale is not like the other celebrities. In fact, until "Batman Begins", I can't really say he was all that well known. Call me biased and stupid, whatever you want. However, I stand by what I think.
