Ha Ha I don't think so Tim. He has no movies that stand out if I had to go inside a movie theater to get out of a X@@##! storm I would not want one of his movies to be playing God help me I would have to run back out into the falling X@@##!.

Always felt the same way about Punch Drunk Love, but no one in the entire world would agree or understand why. I'm totally emailing this to everyone I know!

@ariane: I can not explain it either, I just think that film is absolutely fantastic.

i liked big daddy until john stewart figured out he was the father of the kid because he boned some chick after the blue jays won the world series. just seemed like an odd reference at the time. i had to explain to my date who joe carter was and all of that. it's right up there with the buffalo sabres winning the stanley cup in 'bruce almighty' in terms of oddest sports references in non-sports movie history. hey mike, you should do a top ten list on that topic!

I just have one thing to say; Adam Sandler and outstanding do not belong in the same sentence. OK, I lied; there's a second thing- funerals are funnier than Adam Sandler.

Spanglish is truly the best movie and it shows his range because he is adam Sandler, but not in that movie, in that movie he is the cook with the hot wife who doubts herself and he kind oflikes the maid.

as far as true adam sandler Happy Gilmore ROCKS I loved it when he got his X@@##! kicked by bob Barker.
I Like ADAM Sandler WaterBOY rules

Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison are the best. It was downhill from there. Not necessarily all bad, but not the gold of the aforementioned two.

@Bill From Gainesville: I agree on Spanglish. I still think the entire movie is a bit of a mess but Sandler shines.

@Cartman: It depends what you are looking for. You like to see an actor grow as he ages, Sandler has regressed at times but has given great underrated performances as well.

I think I like Billy Madison more today, than I did when it came out. But for me, in terms of watching experience: I remember renting Happy Gilmore, and it being the first movie I found myself laughing out loud to, while alone. Wedding Singer unofficially kicked off the 80's nostalgia phenomenon. Why isn't Glenn Gulia in all of Sandler's movies like everyone else???

Punch drunk love is possibly one of the greatest movies of all time. Thank you Mr Ryan for finally exposing me to this greatness. When I think about all the time I wasted, not having had seen it yet, I cry and my soul hurts.
I used to think I loved Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore, but in comparison they are just, eh.

Mike, I so hate being disagreeable, but Happy Gilmore is absolutely one of the most perfect movies ever and you list it 4th or something only with Sandler movies as the target. thats just wrong. and Finally I loved LOVED that movie Spanglish. and hew was not just a regular guy , he flat out acted. These are my two Adam Sandler Love fests but I also truly got fifty first dates and the waterboy. your criticism is probably for the writing only but truthfully, ADAM RULES in those movies I just referenced.

i liked him & Jack in anger management. i def. an adam sandler fan. by the way, i think he has gereat chemistry w/drew barrymore. They worked well 2gether in both the wedding singer & 50 1st dates.
