"Cape Fear" is NOT overrated. I DO like the original film better, though...
And I agree that "The Aviator" is underrated. It includes one of the only performances I like by Leonardo DiCaprio. :P

In plain view scorses brings out the hidden truths and does it spectaucluarly and whei such great direction, it must be one of the top searches on anybody`s list of pain and denial

As the time I first saw the film I thought it was something out of Disney Land with the big wide forms but I guess things like that are too fantastic to imagine

my bad, i missed it. in my opinion the film was not overrated. i loved it. it had drama, suspense, blood, guts, surprise ending...all the makings of a great movie.

This list is a joke. Mean Streets clearly define Scorsese's visual style, storytelling flair, and realistic portrayal for violence. Robert DeNiro is the only thing to get excited about? Is your favorite movie Spy Kids?
Then you list Casino and The Departed. Dumb.
This is clearly a shock piece that is void of logic.

Sure, opinion articles are fine, but when they lack clarity and are void of logical points, than it is what it is.
If I were to write an article stating Spielberg sucks (which I would never do) and simply wrote a paragraph about how E.T looked cheesy and how Schindler's List was black and white and should have been color, and not back up my article with solid points, that someone can say the same thing about that.

I'm a big fan of movies and martin and this is really just wrong.. The Departed was an awseome movie and The Color of Money should have been in the under-rated section... what were you thinking?? Cape Fear is awseome
