Another reason our taxes are highest in the country: giving tax credits to filmmakers.
Bravo CT legislature. Bravo. Hollywood's had nothing but sh*tty ideas for the last 15 years or so and you go giving them tax credits so they can keep producing sub-par crapola.
Meanwhile I-95 needs a third freakin' lane from Branford to Rhode Island.

It stimulates the local economy and creates jobs. Boosts tourism also. Michigan just did the same thing and within a couple days...2 movies were announced to be filmed here. Amen to those who are trying to bring business here!

BS NaturallyTru, all it does is create a local hassle, waste tax payer money and distract people from REAL issues and problems the state should be focusing on. Keep Hollywood out of CT!

a "mecca" is a place that people flock to. It's a slang term that shows our content toward the Muslim religion here in the U.S.
Mecca is just a city that terrorists pray to before they go and blow something up. That's why they pray six times a day, because they usually kill at least six people a day. Each prayer is basically just "Allah, please don't let my gun backfire."
Some only pray once though, and then go blow themself up along with more than six people, thus relieving them of the requirement to pray one time for each person before killing them, now they just pray one time and kill themself also.
