Jericho is only dead on CBS! There is still a chance ofr more Jericho on another network.
If you want more Jericho please write to: Ms. Nancy Tellem, President, CBS Paramount Network Television Entertainment Group, 4024 Radford Avenue, Studio City, CA 91604-2190.
Ask her to continue to produce Jericho and sell it to another network. These letters need to go out now, if we wish to save Jericho.

The Return: "Jericho" came back with a seven episode second season, which debuted midseason 2008. Although massively hyped by CBS, the premiere received dismal ratings - and it was all downhill from there.
MASSIVE HYPE??! I don't remember that and I thought they would still be on Wed. when it returned only to find out by accident that they changed it to Tues @ 10pm. CBS dropped the ball big time on that show. It was like they just wanted to shut the fans up and figured it would fail. How many "returns" do you know that only got 7 episodes to regain their fan base??

Personally, I think "Firefly" did better when it was a feature film, but that's just me. I need my fantasy in very small doses; when I watch television I want to watch a world that could possibly exist: friends, families, offices, whatever, as long as there are no space ships or ghosts or anything.

I'm still bummed that "Arrested Development," Bravo's "Significant Others," and HBO's "Unscripted" got pulled. Other than "Arrested," those shows only had one short season each, and that is not enough to travel with the characters on their respective journies.

Same would go for "Miss/Guided" if ABC opts not to bring it back next year.

"boston public" getting cancelled sucked...that show had great ratings untill they moved it to friday nights...."life as we know it" was another great show, but we all knew that was doomed from the start when they put it on during the same timeslot as the o.c. which was also good at the time.

I don't know how anyone can say that CBS massively hyped Jericho's return. This is blatantly untrue. If I had a show that was brought back because of the amazing efforts of its dedicated fans, I would totally capitalize on that. When I watch TV I usually watch CBS, NBC and ABC, and I truly don't remember seeing any hype at all of the return of such an amazing show. CBS definitely let the ball drop on this one, and will hopefully soon realize that. And what the heck does that statement "gripping and entertaining despite the fact that it starred Skeet Ulrich" mean? He is a brilliant actor and did a phenomenal job on this show. He was ONE of the best reasons to watch Jericho every week.

Jericho....."massively hyped"? You must be joking! Even people who were looking for its return didn't know it was back. NBC started advertising Heroes Season 1 DVD a month before it came out. I kept waiting and waiting for CBS to advertise Jericho's S1 DVD - nothing. CBS' own David Letterman worked out an agreement so he could have SAG stars on during the writers' strike. Coincidentally, CBS also had the Season 2 premiere of Jericho coming in a few weeks. Not one star from Jericho was put on Letterman! Why on earth not?? Their "massive" promotion of Jericho didn't begin until late January 2008, maybe 3 weeks before the show returned. wow. Jericho's 2nd chance wasn't really a chance at all. However, the fan base is still there, waiting to follow Jericho to another network who would like to attract 6 million fans (not counting international, DVR and online viewers) to their current repertoire. Poor CBS! While viewers, revenue and stock prices are spiraling down, Les Moonves' salary has gone up, up, up. They should have gotten rid of Les, not Jericho!

I don't know what alternate universe that there was a massive promotion by CBS supposedly did but it was not this one. I truly can say I do not watch CBS but have Other family Members that do said the 1st comercial they saw for Jericho was about two weeks out and in total they said that saw a total of three ads for Jericho. Boy that was a massive promotion hold me up I might faint. CBS tried to kill this show. But I an many others will do our best to not let this happen. It drew over 6 million viewers in CBS worst time slot that were there every night at for the 7 weeks. I am tired of being alienated over and over again. I will write to find a new home for this original show and and it's loyal fans. Someone out there will want my money it is obvious that CBS does not. I am fighting to keep this show and I'm not alone. Jericho was the best program in years!

Good point about Skeet Ulrich. I watched Jericho in spite of him, never because of him. Lennie James, on the other hand, was pretty interesting.

If you're going to try and write an article about TV shows that you've never seen, the least you could do is dig up some facts to back up your arguments. "Roswell" fans did not send Tabasco after the SECOND second, that was after the FIRST season when there was fear of cancellation. And their move to UPN also had nothing to do with them aquiring 20th Century Fox. The WB moved some shows to UPN and kept some. The WB didn't want to air "Roswell" anymore, so they aired it on UPN, big difference. It wasn't a so-called "package deal" simply because they were aired back-to-back, that's just stupid. "Dawson's Creek" was one of the highest rated shows on the WB just like Buffy and they never moved it, because they didn't want to and needed the ratings; and let's face it people, DC's ratings were much better overall than Buffy's. Why do you think it's now the CW? Because neither network could survive by themselves, and their most successful shows can barely average 2.0 in the ratings. The CW will be gone too soon, so don't worry about it.
The reason that all of the shows in this list have been cancelled recently is because they SUCK, period.
