Wesley needs to go on and do the little time in jail. He won't win the appeal. He might as well save his attorney fees and face this like a man. How is it that you make an average of $20m per film and you don't file your tax return is beyound me.

The average person can and has gone to prison for failure to pay alot less. I am really tired of people with money thinking they are above the law.
Maybe it was an accident, but he is old enough to know to PAY YOUR TAXES!

It isn't a hardship situation so it is hard to be sympathetic to Wesley Snipes here. Wesley should pay up but not go to jail. Save the cell for someone who is a murderer or drug dealer. IRS can easily seize assets from anyone if they really want to force the issue and you don't need a judge to do that!
I don't know the details but something doesn't add up right from both sides.

First of all why didn’t Wesley hire attorneys that knows the Federal income tax system. Larry Becraft Attorney at Law, or Tom Cryer Attorney at Law? Second, was Wesley charged and sentenced in Federal Court. Well what I mean is; was it the United States Federal Court. Or was it District Court of the United States for the State of Florida, this is not joke. In the two tpy of courts, if your case is held in the wrong court; the court lack subject matter. They also call the courts Article III and Article IV courts. We as Citizens of the 50 states of the Union of States should only be charged in a Article III Court. What law states he can be used as a public example? How can the IRS a private tax collection agency, whom is not part of any Federal Government aid in the charge. Lastly U.S.C. title 26 has never been passed into positive law, so how can you charge anyone with a crime and there is no statutory authority(Law). Wesley is not a federal employee, his money should not be taxed, no matter how much he makes. There are to many court cases already on the books stating a person income is his own. The DOJ is prohibited from defending a private company like the IRS, so why do they continually get away with it?

People need to wake up to this un-justice. The United States means, Washington, D.C, Porta Rico, Guam, and it territories. The United States of America means the 50 states, all of the income tax regulation not laws were intended for Senator, Congressmen, the Federal Territories, and Federal employees such as the US Postal Service; any federal enclave, but not on the 50 states. The facts are in, the Government don't care if you know the truth anymore, they will just rail road you. Next comes the no spine people stating "well you should have paid your fair share" If Citizens would hold there repersentives responsible for this type of illegal activities, it would stop. However every Senator get 1 million dollars per year to run their offices, so you know they are not going to say anything! Wake up United States of America (all 50 states)
