Overall, I thought this was a very good album. I was hoping for a
sound more like Alanis's "Jagged Little Pill" days (I STILL listen to
those songs over and over) but this was much different. Different
isn't always a bad thing and this album definitely demonstrated that.
I felt it was a very emotional, heartfelt album. If you weren't
familiar with Alanis Morissette before, you can kind of get a feel
for some of her personal conflicts & emotions here. I felt that she
really expressed herself well and compiled a very good album! Alanis
rocks! :)

I was pleased to see a review of Al's career written by someone with better-than-average grasp of what she's all about. While writers like Tori Amos, Sarah McLaughlin and Liz Phair have explored similar territory, no one I know of has mastered the lyrical explanation of the human experience so fully as this remarkably disciplined, well-informed, astute and increasingly physically appealing young woman. (At 35, Al is truly a mature man's "bombshell" from 10 feet away.)
Most mental health professionals would give years off their lives to possess her revelatory skills. That said, let's =wake up= out there in Psychologyland and give this woman the honorary Ph.D. in clinical psychology she so richly deserves.
Regardless, the listener who puts =any= Alanis CD from JLP on in the play tray, a headset on their ears, and the lyrics in front of their eyes, is in for some serious -- and useful -- psychoeducation.
