I recall somebody (his wife?) right after his death where she was explaining that he had insisted on making one last ski run alone while the family waited at the end of thei day of skiing. If this is true, then it's possible he went to meet somebody for a discussion and was set up for a surprise attack. Or maybe he was just very unlucky that day. I feel sorry for Cher having to endure more bad feelings over this.
