Brian Palma is just really upset that his last commercial ventures had a box office intake slightly higher than Jessica Simpsons last movie.
This movie was sold to various distributors a few times befoe being released because no one wanted to be associated with it. It was a real stinker!
The cast was a list of unknowns and the critics panned it lableing it 0 stars. The general public never ventured in to the theaters to see it and now De Palma is having problems getting cable station to even vie for the rights to broadcast Redacted.
Investors are losing their money on this project and De Palma is trying to get some media attention. . In order to gets some internet buzz , DePalma is trying to blame his disaster on the Pentegon.
Do an internet search and you will not find a single person who liked this movie.

I couldn`t more agree with Brian De Palma, but it is sad that people like the previous poster can`t see the truth. Are famous actors all that matters in a film? Why don`t you want to accept that there always is another side to each story? It is not about investors losing money, the point is that the average American believes everything he or she reads in the mainstream media, without giving it much thought. It is more comfortable that way, I guess. Stop thinking for yourself, why should you even try if there is someone who knows better than you. Is this the way it should be? I think you should be more critical about the things you read, not take it for granted. Not every US soldier is Rambo, most of them are very common people, with fears and hopes and dreams. And I am sure that there are more American mothers worried about their sons and daughters being stationed in Iraq than mothers who are proud for their children being there. Didn`t you learn anything in Vietnam?
