I really loved Sly Stone, and the Grateful Dead. They were part of my diet while growing up in the 60's and 70's. I heard Twisted sister do Christmas songs (this last year), and thought they were pretty good. I think they were making a social commentary on the sweetness of the holiday. I share their point of view.
