Was anyone else completely psyched that these hardworking artists shined so bright that they got the Oscar over the cheezy over-commercialized Enchanted? It renewed my faith in humanity--seriously.

Lets get real honest here. The general public never bought tickets to see any of the major picture nominees according to box office receipts.
And as for best song.....no one can sign 8 bars of any of in the nominees in this catagory. No catchy tunes this year but my heart will go on... Marketa Irglova,( the co-writer of ONCE) was overlooked and had to give her acceptance speech after a number of car commercials. It wasn't worth bringing her back onstage .....her monent was gone and her speech seemed out- of place. Too bad that happened to her but her acceptence speech was no worth remembering.
Having military personnel appear on stage to announce the titles of films that were anti military was a disgrace to those serving overseas!
The pre-show was about baby bumps....who cares.
The highlight of the enite evening was rememberences to those who had passed away.With the split screen format it was no always easy determining who had actually died. Unfortunately Roy Schieder (sp) missed the cut off date .
The evening ended with the politically correct statement from the producer who said " To my partner Henry...who has supprted me all the way........THANKS HONEY!
There was no cleaver movie montage that Billy Crystal was famous for and John was a little flat. All in all a c- rating. A BASIC WASTE OF FOUR HOURS.
