I am very disappointed that the show is coming to a close.
Pity, all Black Shows come to an end. How long did we have to watch Raymond and Cheers and All in the Family and I can go on and on.
I looked forward to seeing John, Maya, Lynn and Toni and also William on Monday nights.
It's a disgrace - I wish that the show can will continue.

I think it totally unfair how the network is just going to end the show like this.. i dont care what anyone say "Girlfriends" is the best show that was ever created and im happy Akil created it. but, for the network to end it now, is just rediculous........... especailly due to the fact that Araron was about to come home.... and Joan could finally get married, and William & Monica could have there baby, and Lynn just got studio time for her ablum... and lastly Mya & Darnel was thinking about adopting a child... see there is too much going on to just end a show with out no explantion or anything... i personally made it my priority to watch the show every monday night because i belived in supporting something that is great.... also as an African American women, this show gave me a sence of how life is and the struggles and tought me alot about life... so i think that the cw 11 should at least give me and the fans that much to give us at least a chance to see all the characters get to where they was going and let us see Joan finally get married... she at least deserves that after 8 seasons

I THOUGHT THE SHOW WOULD END WITH JOAN GETTING MARRIED. MYA AND DARNELL ADOPTING A BABY. LYNN BECOMING SUCESSFUL IN THE MUSIC BUISNESS. WILLIAM AND MONICA HAVING THEIR FIRST CHILD. AND TONY MAKING A COME BACK IF ONLY FOR JOAN'S WEDDING. BUT NO, THE NETWORK HAD TO PULL THE CORD, AND BOY DID THEY DROP THE BOMB! BLACK SITCOMS NEVER GET A PROPER SEND OFF.
