Missy Higgins' New Album 'On A Clear Night' Due Feb. 26; Tour To Follow

Acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter Missy Higgins will return to the U.S. with her second record, "On A Clear Night," due for release on February 26, 2008. Entertainment Weekly says of Missy, "…shows a depth reminiscent of early Suzanne Vega and Sarah McLachlan: catchy hooks…sounds just right."

I am so excited Missy Higgins is coming to Utah. Her voice is sultry. It's sexy. It warms my soul and makes me want to listen. I find myself humming along now and just relaxing.
I hadn't heard of Missy Higgins until about a week ago. Now, she is all that I play while driving or just relaxing. Her "On A Clear Night" is an amazing tribute to her voice.
"Peachy" is upbeat and will have you movin'. I love the sarcastic lyrics. Her voice is strong and I find myself belting out the "of course you don'ts" right along with Ms. Higgins.
"Warm Whispers" is soft and nearly haunting. The sound of this song is calm and feels as if you are being told a grand secret and seems to capture time in a bottle.
I really am hoping to see her in person and experience her talent first hand.
