I disagree with you about this season starting off badly and this episode being lackluster. I think this is a great season so far and I applaud the writers of Medium and the creater, Glen Gordon Caron, for keeping us guessing and keeping things moving in different directions all the time. We will see Manuel Devalos in future episodes, but for a change, it's nice to see other characters like Scanlon, although I do think he needs a bigger part all the time. I think it is high time they have Scanlon being much more supportive of Allison as he used to be in Season 2 and the beginning of Season 3. Previous seasons, we've had very heavy doses of Devalos, but it's nice for a change to not see so much of him - I like him, don't get me wrong. I applaud the writers for coming up with all these different twists and turns - I don't think you can say Medium is predictible at all - which I love. The cast is outstanding and I love the way GGC has kept up the realistic family dynamic going. Yes, I'd love for Joe and Allison to be back working making big bucks, but you know what, that's not so realistic - families struggle - job interviews don't always mean you get the job - for whatever reason - in TV LAND, things are often way too simplistic. The Medium writers ROCK!
