The Vatican Condemns Immoral 'Harry Potter'

The Pope has condemned fictional wizard Harry Potter for giving children an "unhealthy interest" in Satanism. An article in the Vatican's official newspaper, L'Osservatore Romano, has accused J.K. Rowling's creation of leading youngsters away from Christianity.

Hurrah for the Vatican. The Pope is right on and I applaude his stand on this. It is about time that people wake up to the danger of these demonic influences upon our children. There are others, but this is a good start.

no way that harry potter is giving kids any interest in Satanism... this is just the catholics trying to get some news coverage, every once and a while they come out with these outlandish claims to get come attention from the media.

The book series-Chronicals of Narnia,authored by C.S. Lewis, really are smart,interesting and good entertaining reads!.

Read Harry Potter for fun, but don't take it too seriously. Nothing compares to C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia. Lewis wove beautiful biblical allegories into the stories, which are full of wisdom and truth. Harry Potter is entertaining - good is represented as good, and evil as evil, for the most part - but it is not redeeming. Look to the works of C.S. Lewis for that eternal quality.
