The problem with Grey's Anatomy is the cast is over bloated at best. We now have 14 cast members. The final episode actually had the unneeded plot device of Rose having more time onscreen than Sandra Oh's wonderful Christina. We don't get any time with our favorite characters anymore and too much time getting to know new ones I don't care about. Meredith and Derek are the signature couple. They have a massive fanbase and whether this writer wants to jump on the "hate the lead and the lead couple" bandwagon, the sentiment is not shared by fans who are up in arms over again bringing in a poorly written plot device as a cheap form of drama. Lose the HUGE cast so we can go back to telling the "original interns story" Fix your lovely key couple of Mer/Der and no longer cheapen them by bad scenes and horrible plot device love triangles and stop all the characters breaking up, divorcing, dying or being unhappy and things will be better. Grey's ratings dropped this year and the show ended on another sad/unhappy note. Shonda Rhimes needs to lose the ego and figure out what made her show such a charming, funny and interesting show in the first two seasons. The writers no longer get nominated for awards, the ratings have dropped and fans are angry. Either Shonda fixes these things or this show will die the same tragic death half of Meredith's family did last season. I'm not sure this writer was watching what the rest of us were this season because he doesn't seem to get it.
