In regards to why people didn't line up around the block for "Grindhouse", Quentin Tarantino is no longer a unique director. He has lost his edge and bankrolls second rate torture films for freaks. Whatever charisma and edge he once had, he no longer possesses. As for Eli Roth, if he were any ordinary geek from the AV squad in high school, not financed by Mr. Tarantino, I think he would most likely be under observation in a local mental health facility. Mercifully, I have not seen their stuff. But I hear of it. Neither of them produce interesting work, because they are no longer interesting. They are not shocking, just out of ideas. Noone wants to watch that anymore. Did Hostel II get nominated for anything? If they had the imaginations they think they are getting paid for, we might have some thoughtful pictures. These are not film makers, just because they think they are. It's sad, because there are talented people out there, with something to say. Like I said, if these guys didn't have money, they would be investigated by the police. As for making "Thanksgiving" into a full length feature, well, you'll be sitting in the dark by yourself, but maybe, you already are, if you embrace the garbage these people put out. By the way, do you stop at car wrecks and get a kick out of abusing animals? If you watch this stuff, you must. I am sorry that there are people like you in the world. It makes me sad. Garbage breeds garbage. There is enough evil in the world
