MetallicaFile sharing has become a very real and common force. We first saw Napster, then LimeWire, then P2Ps. Musicians and Record Companies have been very vocal about their loss in royalties due to their songs being downloaded for free.

Music, movies and the like should be available for free. I dont mind listening to a 30sec advertisement before an album starts if it means I dont have to pay a thing for it. Now going to a concert where the artist will see a bigger chunk of the pie, now thats worth paying for. The industries are just getting upset because they can see themselves going out of business, with technology these days bands like Radiohead and Flaming Lips dont need the recording industry to record, market and sell the music they make, there are tons of other ways to get it out there.
