Sinead O'Connor Releases 'Theology' Album, 15 Years After Tearing Up Photo Of Pope On 'SNL'

LORIENT, France (AP) - Fifteen years after she tore up a photo of Pope John Paul II during an appearance on NBC-TV's ''Saturday Night Live,'' Sinead O'Connor has released ''Theology,'' an album about God.

I almost feel sorry for her. She really screwed up with that "Fight the Real Enemy" Pope picture paring performance. What a waste.

On SNL she sang a song and at the end she whipped out a picture of the Pope and tore it in half on live TV. Catholic community and non catholics hit NBC with thousand of phone calls.
She was protesting the fact that in Ireland children were being molested by priest and Rome/Vatacin knew of the issue and did nothiing to the priest. This was 1992.
The reaction led to a boycott of her music, cd's were being burnt and ran over all overthe world. She was off the music scene for yrs. Many death threats.

Welcome back Sinead! It's been a while since her last CD. Her tantics are organized and bewidering. It's cofusing, she claims to be some sort of priest. A voodoo priest maybe. Who in their right mind would "rip apart" pictures of the former Pope of Rome. She's too cruel, people who turn out gay are bonafide stupid in the long run. No pun intended, she could have any man she wants, why she's gay is a dirty rotten clever sin. GROW UP SINEAD AND WORK!
