Barbra Streisand Chooses Zurich For Opening Gig

Barbra StreisandBarbra Streisand will open her European tour in Zurich, Switzerland, after cancelling her previous opening date in Rome, Italy. Streisand was originally set to launch her tour at Rome's Flaminio Stadium on June 15, but pulled the gig last weekend. The Funny Girl star's Rome gig had been met with controversy over the "extortionate" ticket prices, but Streisand's promoters insists the furore had nothing to do with the cancellation.
