Rihanna broke her own promise when she reunited with Chris Brown days after he violently beat her up in February - because she had sworn as a youngster never to fall in love with an abusive man after witnessing her own mother's torment.

Domestic violence is a lot more complicated than most people think.It's the man that needs help more than the women, but society has it all backwards,telling women that he will never change so SHE must change.What a load of B.S.!I'm sorry for you Rihana, but at least you have money.Most women are "forced" to go back to the abuser due to lack of support.Trust me, I know!You have more power than you know,use it to force HIM to change!Good luck sweetie

People are still blind and stupid.You really think Chris was abusing her all along before this. She was not the only girl that went with him people. This happened once only on Chris part. Rihanna was violent in this relationship to. She even said she slapped him to the police. Its in the report people. Chris snapped on her period.
She is not innocent and that's a fact.My daughter has a problem with her hands hitting men and I told her she needs to stop before he snaps on her X@@##!. I told her she needs to keep her hands to herself and if she can't than leave him alone until she gets her act together.I do not want my daughter saying she is a victim of domestic violence when she is committing violence herself. I told her she bet not come to me talking about she's a victim if she can't keep her hands to herself. Two wrongs dont make one the victim and the other the abuser.

There is no excuse for domestic violence. None! The entertainment industry has been subtle enablers of domestic violence: It portrays men as tough guys and thugs and women mostly as promiscuous (they call it being sexy). They use young talent such as Rihanna for profit. Young women in the authoritarian entertainment industry are rarely portrayed chastely. The real evil - IMHO - is the vast entertainment empire who creates these icons, pushes them on us as something normal and desirable. The real victims are the people they exploit and those of us who subscribe to their under-handed tactics. This industry has been able to point fingers at everyone else except itself.
