I couldn't believe that Night of the living dead was not on here.To me it was like a breakthrough movie.It didn't waste no time getting supercreepy.

^^Excellent point,takethat! That George A. Romero's 1968 zombie classic transformed the horror genre into the lucrative juggernaut it is today.

@Sarah: Of the last seven movies,only "Killer Clowns From Outer Space" has lost its blood-curdling potency in my humble opinion.

Onne of the most suspenseful movies I have ever seen that actually gave me a shiver...and I love horror movies to the point that most, even the most gory ones, dont bother me. But SHOCK by Mario Bava. creeped me out. it is not gory at all but the suspense and psychological aspects keep you on edge. Another that I am real impressed with is HIGH TENSION. gore plus suspense! and last is the movie PELTS in the masters of horror series. dont watch that one while eating!
