@apostate - Ahhh, because I was choosing work that hadn't been brought to the public's eye yet. It was a deliberate choice to keep Sin City and 300 off the list too, since it's now pop culture. These are graphic novels people probably don't know anything about, therefore more of an introduction than anything else.
