Why whine over what has been. They should try to improve the
programming they think we want to see and give us some good
entertainment like the 24 Series, keep the CSIs (all of them,) make more Jesse stone Movies, keep NCIS (the original)because so far NCIS: Los Angeles doesn't interest me. I guess in the case of
NCIS: Los Angeles I should watch a couple more shows before I judge it.
Yes we had great movies way back then and we have had some
great ones such as The Bourne
Series with Matt Damon. Star Trek, etc. Stop having a nostalgia binge and leave those older series alone. They
worked because of the cast and
the writers and that's all. That goes for the movies, too. What's wrong with the modern technology. The graphics are a lot better. now,
for one thing.

The 90's will always b the best! I heart the 90's. Crows won back to back premierships, there was a lot of Girl Power from the Spice Girls, Michael Jackson came to Oz with his HIStory tour, all the great music was from then. Back in the day. All buzzhype. Yay

80s ALL THE WAY! The music alone makes it the greatest of all time. That music is still being heard today, hell, the bands are still playing...Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Springsteen & E Street...the movies, ET, Star Wars, Indian Jones...still making money, Lethal Weapon, Dirty Dancing and television shows still in syndication..The Cosby Show again, defines the greatest decade of all..the 80s! The 90's has the technological advance, but the technology without art, its just a bunch of machines. Judge Gizmo

I'm 80s all the way mainly because of Michael Jackson, Prince and the Revolution, and Cyndi Lauper...90s was too teen pop and I hated it. I was born in 1989, but I never really got into the whole boy band and Titanic craze (all I know about Titanic is from elementary school Social Studies lol).

Cheesy films in the 80s? Amadeus? Dangerous Liaisons? Dead Poets Society? Glory? The Abyss? Top Gun? Platoon? The original Terminator?Come on
The Cheesy started in the 90s when the film studios thought they had the formula for crowd control figured out and the genius directors of the 70s Spielberg, Lucas, Scorsese were forced to do studio garbage. I gaurantee that you remember more great films from the 80s than the 90s.
You can link fashion and technology in the same category. There was no fashion in the 90s. Both Grunge and Hip-Hop were all about looking like you didn't care.
Sports is a toss up. Those battles between the Lakers, Celtics and sometimes the Pistons are legendary from the 80s. Jordan started his reign as the NBA's premiere athlete in the 80s not the 90s. It's still up in the air because I find dynasty's boring to watch but it seems that bandwagon fans seem to surface when there is a dynasty.
As far as technology, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Steve Wozniak (Microsoft and Apple) launched their ventures in the the late 70s early 80s) If they hadn't done that, there wouldn't have been the internet and pc boom in the 90s. Technologically speaking, had it not been for the work and creativity of the 80s, there is no boom in the 90s. By far, the 80s was a more creative and forward thinking era in history. Creativity and individuality died in the 90s with Kurt Cobain. I'm thankful for the 80s because of what it allowed me to enjoy in the 90s.

All depends on how old you are. If you grew up in the 90s (like the author of this) then the 90s are best. Nostalgia--get over it.

The 80s were way better! It was the last great decade to feel "safe" in America. With the 90s came all the scary changes we're still living with with in 2009.
