Isn't this the same sort of problem that Laura ines ran into playing Kerry Weaver on ER? Her character walked with a limp as well, until it started to hurt the actress, I think they eventually let her direct more, act less and then wrote her off. Might not work the same way on House

The limp could well be a spinal subluxation that could be straightened out repeatedly, as needed, by a chiropractor. Been there, am doing that. When you limp from a different type of injury, that can put the lumbar/sacrum out of whack, causing added pain in the back and/or hip.

Hate the hair. They now seem to revel in making him look as grizzled and unattractive as possible.
Despite Laurie's star turn in the premiere, the show continues its mushy slide downhill.
