Patrick Swayze Dies At 57

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Patrick Swayze, the hunky actor who danced his way into viewers' hearts with "Dirty Dancing" and then broke them with "Ghost," died Monday after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 57.

I just can't get my head around it, the world no longer has this man in it?My heart goes out to his wife and family if so many of us feel this way god only knows how you all feel.Every actor should take a good hard look at this man, he was married to the same woman for all these years and not to mention i don't think there was ever a scandel or bad thing tied to patrick, all i can say is it's a sad sad day.

I am saddened. I do not know him personally but my daughter watched "Dirty Dancing" before puberty. She watched "Dirty Dancing" maybe 5 times a day for 10 days.

My heart hurts at this moment in time. He was a great dancer and actor. However, its how he conducted his life that admire the most. He and Lisa proved that you can be in Hollywood and married to the same person for 32 years with no rumors of infidelity. The only "scandal" was a rehab visit for alcohol which he never hid from. I loved watching the actor/dancer, but I admired the man. God Bless You, RIP and may God comfort Lisa as I'm sure she's completely lost without you. Thanks Patrick for the love and you're right, nobody puts Baby in the corner!

I think Patrick Swayze was an awesome actor. I will always enjoy the movies I have with him in them. I feel its a tradgedy that he had to be taken away from his family and friends at such an early age. I hope and pray that some day soon there will be a cure-all for all cancer. To his wife and children I am truly sorry in your loss, I will keep you in my prayers. To Patrick you will always rock the screen for me...Thank you for all you have done. RIP Patrick.

I can't even count how many times I've seen dirty dancing, or Road House. Patrick will be missed by many and I feel so bad for Lisa. There was more love there than I thought could ever be possible. I know he will be looking down on her and taking care of her (from heaven) We always want more, but am thankful he gave to us the warmth, and hope that will always be in my (and everyone else's heart.) We love you Patrick and will be praying for Lisa's heart, I know it is broken.

I'm so unbelievably sorry for his family. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy. I lost both of my Parents to Pancreatic Cancer, and for him to survive 20 months is actually pretty miraculous in itself, but it's never long enough. I know what a horrific disease this is, and that it steals your life, and there is nothing that they can do to detect it early, to prevent it, or to cure it. This man was so very rare. To have the looks, talent, charm and grace he had, and to come through the Hollywood saga intact. No scandal, no rumors and no divorce. Patrick and Lisa stuck together through all the rough times. Almost unheard of these days, especially in Hollywood. Patrick, heaven is a much better place now. We have suffered a tremendous loss with your passing, but you have been an inspiration to all of us who still believe that true love conquers all. Thank you for your time with us, you made it special in so many ways. You were truly blessed to have such a beautiful wife by your side for life. And Lisa, Nobody could ever know the heartbreak you suffer today, as the loss of such a companion must leave you so empty inside. Believe though, that his spirit will remain by your side until you hold hands again in heaven. A love like him will never leave you....ever.
