Great interview! Was it as fast-paced as it reads? And, I have to give props, Rush Hour IS the best contemporary movie of its genre.

Great interview. I am sort of excited about a new Beverly Hills Cop movie!
I loved Red Dragon, I am a big fan of Thomas Harris so I was happy to have the more faithful adaptation.

@LizSchulte. I like Manhunter a lot. But, you're right, Red Dragon is the most faithful adaptation.

Great interview! It was a fascinating read, I particularly enjoyed the parts on movies based on comics and comic book fans. It was very interesting to read what came to sound like a very candid look at the group.

Wow, I never realized how interesting this guy is. I really like 'The Family Man'. You are aware that Piven is in that, right? ;) Also, simply mentioning Beverly Hills Cop makes me incredibly happy and I concur, no more amusement parks. Another great interview, as expected.

It doesn't matter if Brett Ratner is genuinely enthusiastic about making movies and doesn't care about the money and makes movies that make a lot of money. He still makes almost exclusively bad movies.

Someone needs to take the bait and make more complaints RE: X3...
So I will.
I can understand that he feels defensive about it, but trying to say that X3 is better than the first two films in the trilogy based on gross?
How much money did "White Chicks" make? 113 mill. How much did "American Splendor" make? 7.9 mill. Should we then conclude that "White Chicks" is a better movie?
Secondly, the fact that people remain interested making money off of the X-Men franchise says nothing about anything other than "studios like making money".
There, the constant stream of web vitrol continues.
