Sorry to say but the author here has been hoodwinked. Lewis is a longstanding Scientologist. If she credits the COS with getting her off drugs, she has to blame them for putting her in that spot, considering the COS controlls every aspect of the life of true adherants. Also, what is the point of saving youself from drugs to only give your life away to a cult?
But more to the point, the reason Lewis is attempting to make this an issue now is to distract from the St. Petersburg Times series of Articles from June and Aug. 2 exposing the leader of COS, David Miscavige as a violent and barbaric monster, continually assaulting staff members in bizarre, brutal fashion. Lewis, like a good celbrity Scientologist is intentionally running interference for a monster. More Hollywood insanity. And i used to think she was hot.
