Mike, I sense in reading this that Blomkamp wasn't thrilled with you comparing his film to Starship Troopers. Did I read that right, or was he cool.

@rob who had a broken foot: Well, I only meant the part about propaganda. I certainly wouldn't compare D9 straight up with ST. They're very different. But, no he's a cool guy. I think he may have been a little confused until I clarified.

@PussyKat: I wouldn't say that. My review will publish in an hour or so. It may give you a better idea. Also, this interview was in person and he was certainly not angry. Even if it reads that way. He's a really nice and laid back guy.

Well, I'm no fan of ST. So when you made a mild comparison between ST and D9, I thought, "Whoa, maybe this isn't something I want to see." I got the impression Blomkamp may have felt the same way with how he brushed it off.
