Best movie Depp has "been in"? Platoon.
I think I actually liked Edward Scissorhands at the time it was out, but in hindsight I think it was just awful. Either that or seeing the x-rated version has totally corrupted it for me.

I mostly agree although I, like others thought Blow was excellent and I personally really liked the campy CryBaby. Edward Scissorhands and the POC movies were great! I did NOT like Willy Wonka!
I haven't seen Sweeney Todd or From Hell....so I can't comment on them.

When Johnny Depp did "Blow" it was realistic. When John did "Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas" it was surrealistic. But when John acted in "Sweeney Todd" he should have received an Academy Award!

The problem with Depp is that I find pretty much 95% of his movies fantastic. I had to pick only a few of them for this list, but believe me everyone, the movies you picked up were all in the running. Blow, Donnie Brasco, they're all wonderful.
What I also love about Depp is that even if he's in a bad movie, I still think he's wonderful. HE is never a disappointment to me, even if his movie is. Does anyone else agree with that?
Is there a Depp movie where he himself has disappointed you, rather than the movie?

Personally I think that the best Johnny Depp movie is Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Not only because we get to see him sing, but also because of the great actors he got to work with. Alan Rickman, who's an amazing actor, Sacha Baron Coean, and Helena Bohem Carter {I think I got their names almost right :)}. It is a good movie where you get to see him in many stages. The grieving husband and father, also the revengeful husband and father; friend and enemy. It's a wonderful movie. I am so excited to see the new Alice In Wonderland movie! I hope all you Johnny Depp fans go and watch it when it comes out.

I will forever love Captain Jack Sparrow, those movies would not have even been the same thing with out Depp, and I dont care if hes 46 or if hes married if he has kids(im married also) when he is captain jack, we are allowed to believe that he is exactly that and I have never wanted to be a pirate so bad! lizabeth you lucky girl! So I hope that the rumors are true and that disney will make all our dreams come true, when we wish upon that star, potc 4 we want more of what we adore

My first thought: Only Johnny Depp could play Michael Jackson(Life Story)! and Tim Burton Directing! I would pay big $$$ to see that! Michael Jackson deserves that much respect! I am sick of the media exploiting his children, enough. Michael may you rest in peace!
